I used something called spotDL, it grabs your music from youtube. I also had to get several thousand tracks, but it still found almost all of them. Didnt find maybe 50 out all those.

Technology@lemmy.ml•Why does Asia seem to have a monopoly on chip design and production?
10·4 months agoUnderstanding them from context works reasonably well yes, but they are still odd letters in modern usage, most people couldnt use or type these on their devices without extra steps.
Seems unnecessarily complicated for everyday use. Being a german myself i also do not use our Umlaute outside of communication in german, because barely any other reader can make sense of ä, ö, ü. Simpler to just spell them accordingly as ae, oe, ue.

22·4 months agoI am curious, how is india and pakistan doing what they do best a cause for a global conflict? In the two last ones it was a bunch of european states tied together through silly treaties and pacts and a whole lot of countries coming together to stamp out the nazis, respectively.
India and pakistan are neighbors and essentially two sides of the same coin with different religions, and as far as i know have no defensive pacts with any major outside power. So even if they went to full blown war it would stay fairly confined to the region, no? Excluding considerations such as trade impact of course.
Understandable they are pissed. Paying in advance for games not yet made is a fucking scam, develop your shit and convince me with a finished, polished product.
I’m also sceptical of the bunch of promotional fluff in that link, that generally means less substance more bullshit in a game.

122·4 months agoMy client doesn’t show these things, and i’m honestly not interested enough in the matter to read someones bio to put their odd form of expression into context, even if it would show them.
For the sake of efficient communication i would suggest adjusting either by putting that context in your comment or by expressing yourself more clearly.

2·4 months agoI agree that a lot of shows and movies, especially the more recent ones, have little rewatchability. You could always replace those with an armful of whatever is current and on your watchlist after you are done though.
And personally i have a couple of evergreens and classics i enjoy watching again now and then, and it is nice to know i always have something to watch even if i cant afford the subscription any more / the stuff i like gets region locked / fucking licensing pulls the rug. It also feels a little empowering to have my own stuff that really is just mine and nobody can revoke my viewing permissions, in the face of endless enshittification.
As for the media server, i am not tech savvy enough myself to run one so i just bought a large ass external drive. When i am away from home i just bring that thing and can watch my stuff on any computer and generally also tv i plug it into.

1·2 years agoAs a german myself I hate how the right keeps co opting cool history and fables and then it is tainted by their bullshit. The Nibelungensage, Nordic runes and aesthetics, germanic spiritualism / mysticism, even the hakenkreuz (swastika).

Fair, but the point is valid even if we do not like the behavior they might exhibit on that server. It is their server, ran on their hardware. They should absolutely be able to swear and curse and be general dicks on their own server.
In my opinion the issue is more that the name seems very official and might be misleading to players. They should make them change it and perhaps delist them from their official server finding tools, assuming those exist (have never really clicked with minecraft myself, though i do love me some space engineers)
